Discover how to make travel affordable... like really affordable.
We like to travel two to three months of every year but it can be extremely expensive with costs of flights, accommodations, transportation, attractions, and of course food!
Learn about how we spent ten weeks in Western Europe in 2017 living rent free and only paying $409 for flights between 5 countries... yeah we told you it was affordable.

The travelers behind the Traveloars.... The Loar Family
Sarah is the beautiful human that keeps a pep in my step in what ever country we are in. She grew up in Salem, Utah and found her love for new cultures when she worked in NYC for 4 years.
She has an amazing ability to love people no matter where there from and has an angelic singing voice!
- Food: See Baby Loar's Favorites
- Current Dream Destination: Islands of Greece
- Favorite Place: Larchmont Manor Park, Larchmont NY, USA
You guys really need to meet this lady if you haven't, She'll make your life a bajillion times more enriched than it already is ;) But then again... I'm kind of biased...
Vader is a goofy ball of joy with no end to his personality. He joined our family in October 2015 and he's been our best buddy ever since! He is 50% spaz, and 50% cuddles.
A sincere thank you to the older Loar family (Mitch's parents) for hosting him in their home while we do our current explorations of the world. Specifically thanks to Mason, Mitch's brother, for taking him on walks and letting him sleep in his bed.
- Mitch & Sarah
Mitch is a bearded babe who was born with an entrepreneurial spirit. His love for travel started with his family vacations but really sunk in on his 2 year service mission to Chile where he learned to fall in love with another culture and people!
- Food: Pizza, Mac & Cheese, Ice Cream (My husband is 5 years old)
- Current Dream Destination: New Zealand and Australia
- Favorite Place: In the arms of his wife. Haha. Jk. Kauai, Hawaii, USA
Mitch is one of those guys who makes you feel like a friend the first time you meet him. He is one of the most ambitious people you'll ever meet and he is always eager to share his knowledge and resources with anyone who is interested!
Coming May 2018
Just 8 weeks into our 16 week trip through out Western Europe we discovered that we were expecting a lil' Traveloar!
This is the best news we've ever received in our entire lives and it was delivered to us by a little pee stick. Who would've thought?
his/her favorites based on cravings
- Making mom sick
- Anything from Taco Bell
- Tomatoes, Pickles, and Cheese
To better accommodate to Sarah and our lil belly bean's health we decided to cut our trip short at 10 weeks and returned to the US. We plan to hit the road again late 2018!
